1st Place, Vienna Virtuoso Competition (Junior Category - Violin), 2024
I was awarded 1st Place in the Vienna Virtuoso Competition (Junior Category – Violin) for my performance of the Allegro movement from Vivaldi’s Concerto No. 3 in F major, Op. 8, “Autumn”. Capturing the spirit of the harvest dance and its changing moods was both a challenge and a joy.
I was also invited to perform at the Winner’s Gala concert in Berlin.

Gold, London Young Musician, Violin, (Young Talent U10 Category), 2024
in April 2024, I was awarded Gold in the London Young Musician competition (Young Talent Under 10 Category) for my violin performance of Capriccio by Cécile Chaminade.

2nd Place, Vienna Virtuoso Competition (Junior Category - Vocals), 2024
I was awarded 2nd Place in the Vienna Virtuoso Competition (Junior Category – Vocals). I was also invited to perform at the winner’s Gala Concert in Berlin.

Excellence Award (2nd Place) and Tokyo Bay eSG Award, Microsoft Minecraft Cup, Japan, 2023 (Invited to attend official award ceremony with Governor of Tokyo)
At the Microsoft Minecraft Cup Competition held in Japan in 2023, My team was awarded the Excellence Award (2nd Place) and Tokyo Bay eSG Award, We were invited to attend the official award ceremony with the Governor of Tokyo.
Our team’s work was also exhibited by Styly at SusHI Tech Tokyo, 2024.

Volunteer, Chinese Reading Rocks Programme 2024
I volunteered together with a few of my friends in my Primary 5 Higher Chinese class for this programme. My duty as a Reading Ranger involved coming to school earlier on Friday mornings to spend 30 minutes reading chinese books to selected Primary 2 students to help them with their mandarin.
I enjoyed reading books and teaching chinese to my junior, and seeing her growth throughout the programme which ran in Term 1 and 2, 2024.

ABRSM Grade 5 - Singing Performance (Distinction)
I was awarded a Distinction for my Singing Grade 5 Performance exam. I enjoyed singing the pieces which were in different languages, including German and Italian. It also helped that we had sang an Italian song in the MGS Primary Choir for the SYF, so I was able to understand some of the lyrics.

ABRSM Grade 6 - Theory Examination
I took the Grade 6 Theory exam in March 2025. I am grateful to my teacher, Ms Karen Lee who inspired and guided me through the process.

MGeSprit 2023 (MGS Biannual Newsletter) - Co-wrote Article on P4 Reality Outside Classrooms Programme
My friend Eliza and I were honoured to be selected to co-write an article for MGeSprit, our school’s Biannual newsletter.
The article represented our thoughts and experience on our P4 Reality Outside Classrooms (ROCs) programme which aims to build resilience and determination in the Primary 4 cohort via a 2D1N sleepover in the school’s multi-purpose hall.
Fundraiser (Art and Music), YWCA HeART Beats, 2023
I participated in the YWCA HeART Beats Music and Charity Festival as both a performer and artist, supporting fundraising efforts for over 2,000 underprivileged families and empowerment programmes for women and children.
I performed Vivaldi’s Autumn (Allegro) and Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins (Vivace) as a duet, and contributed two original artworks for auction. Through this event, I raised a total of $1,335. It was a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community through music and art.

ABRSM Grade 5 - Theory Examination (Merit)
I was awarded a Merit for my Grade 5 theory examination which I took in Primary 4. I would like to thank my teacher, Ms Karen Lee for guiding me and teaching me.

Consolation Prize, The 15th National Junior Watercolour Competition 2023
When I was in Primary 4, I was awarded a Consolation Prize - Primary Group B (age 10 to 12), in the 15th National Junior Watercolour Competition, organised by the Singapore Watercolour Society.
My artwork was one of 54 selected from 1,245 entries to be exhibited at their 54th Annual Exhibition at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. It was a true honour to present my piece to Minister Gan Siow Huang and to see it displayed alongside works by esteemed professional artists; an experience that continues to inspire me on my artistic journey.

[10 years old] Bronze, Singapore Raffles International Music Festival, Junior B Category (Ages 10-12) - Violin Solo, 2023
The Singapore Raffles International Music Festival (SRIMF) was my first solo violin competition since I picked up the violin at the age of 7.
I was thrilled to receive a Bronze award for my live performance of Veracini’s ‘Allegro’ in the Junior B Category (Ages 10-12).

ABRSM Grade 5 - Violin Performance (Distinction)
I was awarded a Distinction for my Violin Grade 5 Performance exam, which I took at the beginning of Primary 4. The 1st piece, Folia, was the most challenging as it had a number of double stops. My teacher mentioned that most students would not choose that piece as it took them a long while to play it fluently. Though it was daunting, I am glad I persevered as I really liked the piece and the 4 variations that were tested.

2nd Prize, The Most Artistic Award, ViArt, 2022
In 2022, Stella and I received 2nd Place and The Most Artistic Award at the ViArt Green Competition for our upcycled installation A New Eden. Exhibited at the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, it imagined a thriving, zero-waste future—where nature reclaims a world free from pollution and the looming threat of Semakau’s closure.

Edusave Certificate of Academic Achievement 2022
In 2022, I was awarded the Edusave Certificate of Academic Achievement in recognition of consistent academic performance and good conduct.
I’m grateful for the encouragement to continue striving for excellence in both my studies and character.

ChildAid 2022
When I was 9, I had the honour of performing at ChildAid, a charity concert organised by The Straits Times and The Business Times. Held at the University Cultural Centre (UCC), the event raised funds for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund, which support children and youth from low-income families.
It was a truly meaningful experience to contribute through music.

Highly Commended Award, The 14th National Junior Watercolour Competition 2022
When I was 9 years old, I received a Highly Commended Award in the 14th National Junior Watercolour Competition—my first-ever art competition. Out of over 730 entries, my artwork was selected as one of 56 winning pieces to be exhibited at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre alongside works by members of the Singapore Watercolour Society.
I was especially excited to meet Minister Ong Ye Kung and share my artwork with him; an unforgettable moment that sparked my love for painting.

SYF 2022 - MGS String Ensemble (Distinction)
The MGS Primary String Ensemble performed in SYF 2022 and we achieved a Distinction award from the school for our performance.

Edusave Good Progress Award 2021
In 2021, I received the Edusave Good Progress Award in recognition of significant improvement in my academic performance. It was a meaningful encouragement that motivated me to keep learning and growing.

MGS Arts Festival 2021 - Represented Class
When I was in Primary 2, I was selected to represent my class for the 2021 MGS Arts Festival. As it was Covid period, we could not perform live. Therefore, the teachers streamed our pre-recorded performance to all the classes. I performed ‘Castle on a Cloud’ from the musical, Les Miserables.
