I am humbled and grateful for the instruction and guidance of my violin teacher , Ms Ying-Chu Lin. I enjoy the rigour of her lessons, where she has taught me how to interpret the pieces I am learning, the phrasing of different sections, and the recording-perfect demos she plays never fails to inspire me to do better.

As Distinction winners for the MOE Innovation Programme in MGS, our group was Nominated to participate in the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award 2025 (Open Category)

100% Scholarship to attend the OrkesterEfterskolen Chamber Music Festival in Denmark, 2025
In March 2025, I was honoured to receive a 100% full scholarship from the Singapore International Music Competition to the OrkesterEfterskolen Chamber Music Festival in Denmark. I attended masterclasses, performed in chamber ensembles and as a soloist, including a solo performance at Holstebro Church. I feel incredibly blessed and humbled to have been part of this unforgettable experience.

Distinction, Innovation Programme (IvP) 2024
It was an honour to be selected to participate in this programme, having sat for the placement test and with only ¼ of participants clearing the test for the IvP. Our journey in IvP was complicated, with time constraint, addressing the practicality of our ideas something we grappled with. I learned a lot about working in a team during the process.
As one of the 3 groups in IVP being awarded Distinction for our project, we were overjoyed. Our group was also selected to presented our project to Class P4.3 in 2025.

Edusave Scholarship 2024
I am deeply grateful to my parents and teachers for their unwavering support and encouragement, which have been instrumental in helping me achieve the Edusave Scholarship Award.

1st Place, American Protege International Vocal Competition (Junior Category, U14), 2024 (Performed at Carnegie Hall, NYC, Dec 2024)
In 2024, I was grateful to receive 1st Place in the American Protégé International Vocal Competition (Junior Category, U14). I had the privilege of performing The Swallow, a Kazakh folk song, at Carnegie Hall in New York City, an experience I will always treasure.

Top 5 Musician (Season 4), London Young Musician, 2024
I was one of the Top 5 Musicians for the London Young Musician competition (2023-24 Season 4). In this season, my performances were awarded multiple Gold and Special Awards received across Violin (Grade 8 and Under 10 categories) and Singing (Under 10 category). I'm truly thankful for the encouragement and support.

1st Place, Golden Classical Music Awards, 2024 (Invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, NYC, Dec 2024)
In 2024, I was honoured to receive 1st Place in the Golden Classical Music Awards (Violin, Junior Category). I was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City that December—an opportunity that deeply inspired and encouraged me on my musical journey.

Silver Award, Singapore International Music Competition (Category C), 2024
In December 2024, I was awarded Silver in Category C of the Singapore International Music Competition. I was invited to perform at the Winners Recital at Esplanade and was deeply honoured to be selected as the sole recipient of a 100% scholarship to attend the OrkesterEfterskolen Chamber Music Festival in Denmark in 2025, as one of the top winners in my category for excellence in violin performance.

Silver Medal, Singapore Primary Science Olympiad, 2024
I was awarded the Silver Medal in the Singapore Primary Science Olympiad. I’m grateful to my school for selecting me to participate, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge and broaden my exposure in Science.

Second Prize, Salzburg International Music Competition (Junior Virtuoso I Category), 2024
I was awarded Second Prize in the Salzburg International Music Competition (Junior Virtuoso I Category). It was a privilege to be recognised among young musicians from around the world, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my music.

Gold Award, The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, 2024
I was awarded a Gold Award in The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition for my piece, The Call of the Sea.
The story follows a conversation with Mulbie, a young hermit crab living by the beach with his mother. In it, I included a heartfelt call to action about beach pollution and responsible waste disposal, with a poignant twist at the end.

2nd Place, The 16th National Junior Watercolour Competition 2024
I was honoured to receive 2nd Prize in the 16th National Junior Watercolour Competition in 2024, where there were over 800 entries in my category. My painting depicted a kampong scene in Singapore, inspired by stories my grandmother used to share about her childhood and her pet chickens. I tried to capture the nostalgia and warmth of that era through my brushstrokes.
This was my third year participating in the competition, and I’m grateful for the journey it has taken me on. In 2022, I received a Highly Commended Award, followed by a Consolation Prize in 2023. Each experience taught me something new and helped me grow as a young artist.

SYF 2022 - MGS Choir (Merit)
The MGS Primary Choir participated in SYF 2024. We achieved a Merit Award. I sang the Soprano part for the SYF.

1st Prize, Edinbinary International Music Competition (Children C Category), 2024 (Invited to perform at Gala Concert at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Hall, Aug 2024)
I was awarded 1st Prize in the Edinbinary International Music Competition (Children C Category). At the Winner’s Gala Concert held at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Hall, I opened the evening with a live performance of Kabalevsky’s Violin Concerto in C. It was both terrifying and exhilarating to be the first on stage, but definitely an experience I’ll never forget.

1st Place, ‘Hack the Climate’ Hackathon, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, 2024
My team and I also received the First Place Award at the MIT AI and Education Hackathon for our project Trash to Treasure.
Using AI and machine learning, we developed a solution that identifies and repurposes recyclable waste. It was an intense but rewarding experience that sparked new ideas for real-world impact.

1st Place Award, Poster Competition, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, 2024
In July 2024, my team and I were honoured to receive 1st Place in the Poster Competition at the MIT AI & Education Summit in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Our project, “Cost-Effective Smart Household Water Usage Tracker Using IoT,” was among fewer than 20 selected from over 80 global submissions. As the youngest participants and the only team from Singapore, we were thrilled to be given the opportunity to present our work at such a prestigious event.

1st Prize, Gold International Classical Music Competition (GICMC), Classical Vocal - Category III, 2024
I was awarded 1st Prize in the Gold International Classical Music Competition (GICMC), Classical Vocal – Category III. It was a meaningful milestone in my vocal journey, and I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my love for classical music with a wider audience.

2nd Prize, Gold International Classical Music Competition (GICMC), Violin - Category III, 2024
In 2024, I was awarded 2nd Prize in the Gold International Classical Music Competition (GICMC), Violin – Category III. It was an inspiring experience that challenged me to grow as a performer, and I’m grateful for the encouragement and recognition.

ABRSM Grade 8 - Violin Performance (Distinction)
I was awarded a Distinction for my Violin Grade 8 Performance ABRSM exam, which I took at the beginning of Primary 5. I performed a varied repertoire which included Vivaldi’s ‘Autumn’, Beriot’s ‘Adagio’ and ‘Capriccio’ by Cecile Chaminade. It was an exciting and challenging experience, and I am thankful for the guidance of my tutor, Ms Lin.
