Submission to Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award 2025 (Open Category)
As Distinction winners for the MOE Innovation Programme in MGS, our group was Nominated to participate in the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors’ Award 2025 (Open Category)

Distinction, Innovation Programme (IvP) 2024
It was an honour to be selected to participate in this programme, having sat for the placement test and with only ¼ of participants clearing the test for the IvP. Our journey in IvP was complicated, with time constraint, addressing the practicality of our ideas something we grappled with. I learned a lot about working in a team during the process.
As one of the 3 groups in IVP being awarded Distinction for our project, we were overjoyed. Our group was also selected to presented our project to Class P4.3 in 2025.

Edusave Scholarship 2024
I am deeply grateful to my parents and teachers for their unwavering support and encouragement, which have been instrumental in helping me achieve the Edusave Scholarship Award.

Silver Medal, Singapore Primary Science Olympiad, 2024
I was awarded the Silver Medal in the Singapore Primary Science Olympiad. I’m grateful to my school for selecting me to participate, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge and broaden my exposure in Science.

Gold Award, The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, 2024
I was awarded a Gold Award in The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition for my piece, The Call of the Sea.
The story follows a conversation with Mulbie, a young hermit crab living by the beach with his mother. In it, I included a heartfelt call to action about beach pollution and responsible waste disposal, with a poignant twist at the end.

1st Place, ‘Hack the Climate’ Hackathon, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, 2024
My team and I also received the First Place Award at the MIT AI and Education Hackathon for our project Trash to Treasure.
Using AI and machine learning, we developed a solution that identifies and repurposes recyclable waste. It was an intense but rewarding experience that sparked new ideas for real-world impact.

1st Place Award, Poster Competition, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, 2024
In July 2024, my team and I were honoured to receive 1st Place in the Poster Competition at the MIT AI & Education Summit in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Our project, “Cost-Effective Smart Household Water Usage Tracker Using IoT,” was among fewer than 20 selected from over 80 global submissions. As the youngest participants and the only team from Singapore, we were thrilled to be given the opportunity to present our work at such a prestigious event.

Volunteer, Chinese Reading Rocks Programme 2024
I volunteered together with a few of my friends in my Primary 5 Higher Chinese class for this programme. My duty as a Reading Ranger involved coming to school earlier on Friday mornings to spend 30 minutes reading chinese books to selected Primary 2 students to help them with their mandarin.
I enjoyed reading books and teaching chinese to my junior, and seeing her growth throughout the programme which ran in Term 1 and 2, 2024.

MGeSprit 2023 (MGS Biannual Newsletter) - Co-wrote Article on P4 Reality Outside Classrooms Programme
My friend Eliza and I were honoured to be selected to co-write an article for MGeSprit, our school’s Biannual newsletter.
The article represented our thoughts and experience on our P4 Reality Outside Classrooms (ROCs) programme which aims to build resilience and determination in the Primary 4 cohort via a 2D1N sleepover in the school’s multi-purpose hall.

Edusave Certificate of Academic Achievement 2022
In 2022, I was awarded the Edusave Certificate of Academic Achievement in recognition of consistent academic performance and good conduct.
I’m grateful for the encouragement to continue striving for excellence in both my studies and character.

Edusave Good Progress Award 2021
In 2021, I received the Edusave Good Progress Award in recognition of significant improvement in my academic performance. It was a meaningful encouragement that motivated me to keep learning and growing.

MGS Arts Festival 2021 - Represented Class
When I was in Primary 2, I was selected to represent my class for the 2021 MGS Arts Festival. As it was Covid period, we could not perform live. Therefore, the teachers streamed our pre-recorded performance to all the classes. I performed ‘Castle on a Cloud’ from the musical, Les Miserables.

Edusave Certificate of Learning Achievement 2020
I was awarded the Edusave Certificate of Learning Achievement for demonstrating enthusiasm and active participation in learning. It encouraged me to stay curious, ask questions, and take greater ownership of my learning journey.
